Excerpt from The Temple Rebuilt: A Poem of Christian Faith
The author has endeavored to present, through the vivid medium of verse, the history of a soul with Christ, in the form of a personal narrative, embodying, it may be, in one the experience of many. He would that these lines were more worthy of the sublime truths considered; yet, such as they are, he sends them. Forth with the hope that they may con tribute something to the great work of preach ing Jesus Christ. May some soul be helped, some life stimulated, some praise won to the Lord of glory.
