The Traveler's Guide to the Multiverse
is an illustrated novella giving backstory to all of the art featured in
"The Voyage,"
a gallery show and multimedia event showcasing the art of Micah Pearson. The book features all 25 pieces of art from the show, plus an additional 20 never-before-seen works, illustrating an original narrative tying together the creator's unique vision of varying fantastic realities.
The guide will introduce you to Jamie Hendrickson, a teenage girl who finds a mysterious object of enormous power, and goes on a grand adventure through time and space. Along with with her, you will travel near enough to a star that you glimpse the boiling mass of fire and light in intricate detail. You will witness impossibly beautiful landscapes of giant manta ray soaring high above the clouds. You will watch the cosmos sweep out before you, inviting you to reach out and touch the infinite. Finally you will meet the Travelers, a mysterious group of archaeologists who scour the multiverse, looking for answers to questions only they know, and it's up to both you and Jamie to find out!
