This is one for the time capsule or at least a permanent slot in the CD changer. Heart-rendering soul music by one of its best purveyors, buoyed by two excellent falsetto singers -- silky smooth and the exciting -- 's music is absolutely compelling. This excellent compilation features new songs, rekindled versions of their own hits, and stunning remakes. Renditions of 's ' (as ), and are unexpected, delightful surprises. Traditionalists and purists will quibble that and some others are recuts, rather than the originals, but the voices and the songs are as riveting as ever. ~ Andrew Hamilton
