Raising a child with a Developmental Disability or any disability can be challenging. As a single parent, things can be even more difficult. Staying on top of your mental health is so important. You can't advocate for your child if you aren't mentally capable of doing so. I made it through by documenting our journey. I also created a village by surrounding myself with a great support team, an amazing family and the best friends (sisters) I could ever ask for. And my daughter, who has provided me with a PURPOSE to tell our story. The story of life with Autism.
