In the year 2435, the world is only a shell of its former self after what is known as the 'drop,' a nuclear Armageddon, had irreparably peppered the world's landscapes with blast craters and regions of dangerously high radiation levels. To many who live in this distraught and downtrodden world, the only hope of safety and security is the socialist Welfare of California, a technologically advanced and sophisticated new society that rose from the ashes of the nuclear proliferation. Initially bent on the growth and expansion of their state, the discovery of documents referring to The War Machine, an extremely sophisticated sentient artificially intelligent hyper computer, drastically changes their ultimate goals......
One day while out for a walk, Amber, a 10 year old girl living in Douglas Falls, West Virginia, discovers a mysterious cave behind a water fall. Upon entering the cave, she discovers a cryptic and large metal door, devoid of any surface imperfections that would allow for her ultimate entrance. Is this the entry to some bizarre and fantastic treasure, long forgotten by the tides of history, or is this the entrance to the hyper computer that the Socialist Welfare so longingly searches for? Is this the entrance to The War Machine?
