The Widow and the Wolf
is the story of a man named Silver who has allowed wealth and fame to overtake him. He lives a life of debauchery-multiple women, partying, and drunkenness-and treats others with cruelty and disrespect. He flaunts his wealth, inciting others to jealousy and hatred of him, which Silver relishes. As a result, three of his former friends plan to take his life, and Jazzmun, the assigned angel at Silver's birth to protect, lead, and guide him in the right direction, can no longer protect him.
Distressed, Jazzmun goes before the gatekeeper seeking guidance and help concerning Silver's life. The gatekeeper reveals to Jazzmun the plan for Silver's redemption and destiny. Relieved and comforted, Jazzmun agrees and takes her leave.
However, Razzle Dazzle is the other angel who was assigned to Silver at birth, whose sole mission is to distract and lead Silver astray, resulting in his premature death and eternal damnation. Lured by Razzle Dazzle's intoxicating distractions up to this point in his life, Silver shuns Jazzmun's attempts to save him.
What follows is battle between the forces of light and the forces of darkness for Silver's soul and eternal destiny. A test is set before him, leading him into the wilderness with a magical golden tree. Silver's eternal destiny will be determined by whether he passes the tests presented to him there-or not.
