Connor Quikstadt doesn't have a life. He lives with his Mom in a small house in the small town of Evergreen, Washington - where everything fell apart five years ago when his older brother and his dad went out one Saturday morning and disappeared. Connor spends most of his time avoiding social interactions like the plague until his last day of high school when he finds out that Heatseeker, his brother's all-time favorite band, is playing a super secret show that night. Subjected to his first ever punk rock show, Connor has a transformative moment, but when he follows the band into the deep, dark woods later that night he stumbles into a gruesome altercation and realizes nothing will never be the same.
