Based on a true story, the drama film centers on Mamie Till-Mobley (Danielle Deadwyler). In 1955, Till's fourteen-year-old son Emmett (Jalyn Hall) visited his cousins in Mississippi but never made it out alive. After his lynching, Till embarks on a long journey to seek justice for her murdered son, channeling her grief and anger to a higher cause. Chinonye Chukwu directs the film co-starring Frankie Faison Haley Bennett, and Whoopi Goldberg.
