In the world of Tower Comics, while Dynamo might be powerful, Noman mysterious and
Lightning extremely fast, none were as popular as TIPPY TEEN. In fact, Tippy not only had a longer run than any other of the Tower series. TIPPY TEEN and her various spinoff titles actually totaled more books than all of the other Tower comics combined. When Martin
Goodman at Atlas/Seaboard wanted to add a teen humor title to his lineup, instead of creating a new series he simply changed the name from Tippy to Vicki and reprinted the some of the Tower stories.
What made Tippy special? She was, in many ways, a product of her times, when teenagers ruled the comic stands and felt like they could change the World. Tippy and her sometimes boyfriend Tommy, their friends Go-Go, Animal and others, would turn their town upside down with their hijinks and humor. TIPPY TEEN's contributors will sound familiar to you. Harry
Lucey, Samm Schwartz, Dan DeCarlo, Rudy Lapick and Bob White all worked on the Riverdale beat.
TIPPY TEEN, like all the other Tower comics were published without proper copyright notices and therefore are in the public domain.
This book is available in both hardcover a trade paperback editions
