This collection is constituted eighteen articles and essays written by the author during recent two or three years, with bulk or even most of their contents published here for the first time. In Chinese, it takes as its intended readers those people outside mainland China who are capable of reading Chinese dexterously, and therefore supposed to be knowing about or even familiar with the general situation of mainland China in terms of politics, economy, society, ideology and culture, and foreign relations. Four sections with the following titles compose this collection : (1) To Define Sea Change and Explore Strategy: The Most Recent Speculations; (2) China's Strategies in Foreign Relations: Exploration in the Recent Past; (3) Looking the Modern and Contemporary Historical Experiences; and (4) Looking back the Ancient and Traditional Experiences. The last two sections deal with political experiences and lessons of both China and the western world.
