Growing up as shy child, sometimes finding the courage of coming out of ones shell can be the hardest thing to do. That is why I would like to present:
Toot, Toot, Tootie a children's book about a shy Elephant Shrew who lives in the Zoo and has a hard time making friends due to her not being a elephant and being very shy. She meets up with animals who have double names kangaroo-rat, cat-fish, elephant-seal and others and though her journey she realizes the importance of being yourself and making friends along the way.
This story is about overcoming ones inner fears, finding self esteem and how little by little opening up can make a world of difference to ones self confidence. In the end for Tootie she sees that maybe it was not that hard to make friends after all!
