I was overjoyed to be pregnant, even after we found out I was pregnant with triplets. I never realized how my life would change. Much for the better, some not so much. When I would see other women pregnant like me, I thought, what a wonderful experience. Until the day came when I could only get out of bed to go to the bathroom and to the dining table to eat, and then, only with the assistance of a lot of pillows and a serving tray, I was as large as a small house and could not get close enough to the table to eat a meal. Thus, the tray rested partly on my stomach and partly on the table.
I still have three months to go, or more realistically, until I get to thirty-two weeks, to give my babies a real chance of survival. One of the three keeps wanting to get out early, and Shaka has had to talk her into staying in. Yes, talk her into staying longer as she is the mischievous one. We call her El Junior until we name them, but we know which one she is because she has already begun to show she is going to be very special like her father. Is it the 'shine'? We won't know until she arrives, but I guarantee you we will be in for a ride. I can only hope the other two will be calmer and without the 'shine' gene. No need to worry now; there will be a lot of time for that when they get here.
