So why not tell Chandler's life in terms of incidents in mine. I write poetry, had Scarlet Fever at the same age he did, was born in Chicago, went to San Francisco, write detective fiction. The idea of fictional autobiography is to make a subject more real to the reader-finding personal subtext in his more famous pieces or relating his life to someone's today.
