British female private detective Lesley Shane appeared as a newspaper strip between
1952 and 1954. Lesley Shane also appeared in twenty-four issues of SUPER-DETECTIVE
LIBRARY. Ms. Shane was brilliant, gutsy, experienced with weapons and fabulously
attractive. The artwork is crisply and cleanly rendered by Oliver Passingham and the
scripts were tautly written by Conrad Frost.
Collected here are the final four Lesley Shane adventures from SUPER-DETECTIVE
LIBRARY issues #86, 92, 102 and 118. As an extra bonus this edition contains two
complete newspaper strips starring Lesley Shane, ALIAS COLONEL BLOOD and THE ARMS
OF DRACO. With more than 300 pages of exciting sleuthing in glorious black and white,
U.K. SUPER-DETECTIVE LIBRARY VOLUME EIGHT, LESLEY SHANE COLLECTION BOOK FOUR
is a revelation, showcasing an often overlooked heroine who predates Modesty Blaise,
Emma Peel and Honey West.
