People, like trees, bear fruit in their proper season. In this booklet, taken from a favorite sermon by Pastor Jamie Buckingham, we read that the blessed tree is not the kind that needs to be watered, or nourished, all the time. This tree does not need constant feeding in order to bring forth fruit in its season. The blessed tree may be planted by a dry river bed, but it has roots that go deep into the ground, where reservoirs of stored water are found. In the same way, the blessed man is not meant to produce fruit all the time. But he will produce fruit in its proper season, when his spiritual roots are dug deep into the reservoir of Living Water: Jesus Christ. There are seasons for bearing fruit and there are seasons for not bearing fruit. In those barren seasons we should not be discouraged. God is still working on and through us, and we will produce fruit in the proper time. But we must remember, even when our branches are barren and the rains don't fall, He loves us and is watching over us and one day, again, we will bear fruit.
