We have a lot of things in common!
I also grew up with IBD and was diagnosed when I was two years old. At times, the disease can be tough to face. That is why we should try to learn from our parents, doctors, and nurses about how to have the right mindset to stay positive. We won't let IBD stop us!
When we're sick, we can't do or eat everything we want to, but we can find new fun things to do and eat. When we're stuck in the bathroom, we can come up with games to play... or even try to get ahead with school work.
This book is about my experiences with IBD when I was around your age. The character Adam really is me, and I experienced everything that the character in this book did.
My hope is for us to have a positive outlook and tackle all of the tough times together. It's a team effort, and we got this!
