This impacted me in ways that helped shape my identity and led me on a lifelong journey of discovering who I thought I was, how did I get there, and ultimately, who God destined me to be. is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. The fifth of seven siblings, he was reared in a Christian home and surrendered his life to Jesus at the age of eleven years old. He was called to ministry at an early age, and served as Senior Pastor at churches in Louisiana, Texas, and North Carolina. He is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans and is a post-graduate scholar. Montgomery has a wealth of experience in ministry as well as more than forty-five years working in Education, Mental Health, and Social Services. He and his wife, Elleanor, have been married for more than forty-one years, and they have three adult children, Keosha, Courtney, and George, Jr.
