Where the Wind Begins (the first of three installments) draws from the sentiments of Ecclesiastes and Philippians to create two dynamic characters--Morv Areed (Moreen) Hassani and Malcolm Richardson-- whose lives and outlook come together to create a narrative that takes three books to tell as the author explores how suffering and sacrament combine to transform. Moreen has suffered great losses of family and fortune as a result of the bloody conflict between her home country of Iran and that of Iraq. She was then forced to leave a promising international medical career and her country as a result of religious persecution. The former doctor settles on the gulf coast of Texas where she quietly rebuilds and lives out her faith within an Easter Orthodox community. Malcolm Richardson is a multi-millionaire who has everything money can buy and is bored with it all. He has made tremendous mistakes with his family over the years and is now suffering the consequences his negligence. Almost 3000 years earlier, the uber-wealthy King Solomon described life as a "chasing after the wind". Malcolm Richardson agreed until the light of Moreen's powerful faith begins to reveal that life is so much more than the here and the now. So walk with these two impactful personalities as their families, friends, and struggles interact.... not to chase after the wind, but to find where the wind begins. Note: The appendix allows readers to connect characteristics drawn from the biblical source to the characters in the story.
