A young man is found barely alive by a small mob of Budawang, on a beach in Yuin Country, pre settlement Australia 1595. The only survivor of a Portuguese trading ship, Jacque is faced with the challenge of embracing a new language and culture, plus the haunting truth, that he may never see his family again.
