The title might cause you to believe this book is about a funeral preparation but guess what? It's not! A delightful story about four Girls, longtime friends who own a lucrative storage business together, and the happiness (and havoc!) that follows. The Girls allowed themselves to be influenced by what others thought of them, that caused them to make some poor decisions.
This is a timely story that takes place when a growing number of professional women have no place in their lives for commitments. Some of these women choose to be single because romance, along with the sometimes grueling search for Mr. Right, can be exhausting. Like their male counterparts, they don't have a place in their lives for commitment, but unlike men, they are criticized for being single, childless or single parents. Then, of course, there is the reality of sexually transmitted diseases. It is for these reasons that one character in the book convinces her three friends to go along with her "brilliant" idea: to hire live-in-male escorts who commit only to them.
At first, the plan appeared to be working quite well, until it began to backfire, causing the women to self-destruct. One of the four women disapproved of the plan and continuously tried to influence her friends with her religious beliefs. After a while, however, all the Girls were convinced to surrender to God, except one, for whom it was tragically too late.
Romance... Mystery... Triumph... Salvation... Joy... Sorrow... Perseverance... Like a fabric this book has many threads.
