promises a cross-cultural blend, and delivers that with a fair bit of grace and elegance. The performers and tracks selected range easily from the highly traditional work of
Ensemble Georgika
to various mixtures of traditional and contemporary, though little in the way of ordinary
electronic
rhythm sections is heard here. The collection is for the most part very studied in tempo, and highly atmospheric, a true pleasure to hear. ~ Steven E. McDonald
